2009 PSAL Championship Curtis V Tottenville
After knocking on the door of a New York championship in recent years The Warriors of Staten Island's Curtis high school had mad it to the big show. Yet Tottenville had played close on their heels all season long.The championship is most often a battle of the boroughs but every now and then the teams appearing in the big game are from the same borough. It seemed like 3/4 of the fans in the stands were from Staten Island and the rest of the folks were made up of folks from the other borough who just simply had to see who would win. Of course the overflow seating area was full of spectators and the ever faithful crowds who gather at the fences were there cheering their favorite team on as well.
